Best Thing Someone Ever Said To Me

“I love you” may be the best statement  someone could say to you. This word however had become more of a reminder to me and by me to my men: Ernel and Migue and vice versa. But last night as I was picking my nose with my left swollen forefinger while deleting SMS with my right hand, my 3 year old boy disturbed the silence by saying,

“Mom, I’m so happy you’re my Mom, Mom”.

I could’ve never been more proud. He said it with sincerity in his voice and spoke it in English even he prefers speaking more in Cebuano dialect most of the time. And he said it even though I’ve been giving him a little spanking earlier that evening for not concentrating on doing his assignment.

Kids  surprises you sometimes. Before he slept, I replied,

“You make Mama very happy since the day you were born”.

And we dozed off happily… =)
